We also want to assure you that none of our canned foods were associated with recent pet food recalls. Our products are produced in human food grade facilities. Confused by what actually makes a pet food "human grade," "premium," "super premium," or "gourmet"? If so, you're not alone. Let us help.
The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO), an advisory board that works closely with the FDA to determine safe pet food ingredients, has not defined these terms.
However, we can tell you that we produce our formulas in a human food facility using many of the same ingredients and processes that are used in products for people around the world. Our base proteins of chickens, beef, and fish include only top quality muscle meat, such as white breast chicken meat, whole meat tuna loins, and select cuts of beef--all of which we flake off the bone. This delicate process allows you, the pet owner, to understand the ingredients we list on our labels.
